Killer app for Wii: Trauma Center Second Opinion

This article is over 18 years old and may contain outdated information

This is continuation of the innovative Trauma Center series that was originally released on the Nintendo DS. In Trauma Center Second Opinion Dr. Derek Stiles returns with Nurse Angie along with a new doctor. The doctors are tied together in a parallel story line, which players can switch back and forth between the characters to play. This game takes advantage of the Wii’s remote to create a unique gameplay experience where you can slowly wave the wand to make an incision or rub heal jelly over an open wound. The left analog stick is used to select tools, but it is also used in a new defibrillator tool where both sticks are used to bring a patient back to life. Other new skills that Dr. Stiles learned are how to repair broken bones and do organ transplants. Trauma Center Second Opinion takes advantage of depth and vibration on top of the motion sensors. Look for this game as a launch window title for Nintendo’s next console. Check below for more screenshots of the game in progress.
