Atari’s second recent Ghostbusters game is a digital, 4-player cooperative shooter, developed by Behaviour, that has you controlling it top down, a la Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. The game supports both local and online co-op modes.

Slated for release this week on Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network and PC, Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime has you playing as four new Ghostbusters recruits, but Atari say that they’ll have connections to other Ghostbusters characters like Janosz Poha, the museum curator from the Ghostbusters II movie.

During the game, they’ll be mentored by the original Ghostbusters team, who were the ones that hired them, following an outbreak of ghosts. The script for Sanctum of Slime was penned by Tom Waltz, who wrote the Ghostbusters comics published by IDW.
