The Pokemon Company has revealed new Pokemon merchandise that will turn Lampent into an LED lamp in the real world. The item will be available in Japan in early September 2024 with a price tag of 7,920 yen (~$54.40).
The company has yet to confirm the actual size of the Pokemon’s lamp, including whether it will be accurate to the height listed in the Pokedex, which is 2’0″ / 0.6 m. However, it has showed that the LED light can glow blue in a dark room.
Here are the sample images for the Lampent LED lamp. One of them shows how it will glow in the dark.
Lampent, which is also better known in Japan as Lampler, debuted in the fifth-generation DS entries Pokemon Black and White. The Ghost/Fire type Pokemon is the mid-evolution entry between Litwick and Chandelure. The whole line is available in the Switch mainline entries Sword and Shield, as well as Scarlet and Violet. For the latter pair, players can obtain them directly if they have installed The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC.
The Lampent LED lamp will be available at Pokemon Center outlets across Japan on Saturday, September 7, 2024. The Pokemon Company will open online pre-orders on its Japanese web store two days earlier on September 5, 2024.
