The Black Myth: Wukong benchmark tool allows players to test the game’s various graphical settings to ensure the game runs smoothly on their PC. The tool is not a playable demo, and instead will feature examples of visual effects to test performance. The benchmark tool is only available for Steam, although the final game will also be launching on PC through the Epic Store and WeGame for Chinese players.

In addition to the benchmark tool, Game Science has released the final pre-release trailer for Black Myth: Wukong. This 4-minute trailer features all-new gameplay featuring new weapons and characters. We also get to see a range of locations, including a snowy mountain, a harsh desert and a forest containing living tree beings.

Game Science also announced a new pre-order bonus. Players who order now will obtain the Trailblazer’s Scarlet Gourd item. However, this item can be obtained normally within the game. Three special editions are also available to pre-order, as revealed at Summer Game Fest 2024. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds a few additional in-game items and a digital soundtrack, the Deluxe Edition comes with additional merch and the Collector’s Edition comes with a 40cm figure of the game’s protagonist.

Black Myth: Wukong will release for PC via Steam and PS5 on August 20, 2024.
