For two weeks, Behavior Interactive Inc. is adding a new 2v8 event for players to experience in Dead by Daylight. As a multiplayer game, players will want to survive or kill in matches with their friends. Though, players are finding difficulty in creating a 2v8 Custom Game. This guide will tell you everything you need to know about 2v8 Custom Games in Dead by Daylight.
What Are the Game Modes in Dead by Daylight?
Dead by Daylight has a few game modes that players can take advantage of. The Killer game mode allows one player to select their favorite slasher and wreak havoc on four survivors. In contrast, Survivor mode indulges four players to fix generators to escape the Killer’s playground. Custom Game will let players invite up to seven friends to play in an unranked match with all items unlocked. However, players will only have access to characters they already own.
2v8 mode is a new way to play Dead by Daylight. In this mode, two Killers with face-off against eight survivors as each group attempts to complete their objectives. Unlike the other game modes in Dead by Daylight, the 2v8 mode is a limited time event. 2v8 for Dead by Daylight will run from July 25 – August 8, 2024. This gives Dead by Daylight players two weeks to enjoy this new mode.
Can I Join Custom Games in 2v8?
Unfortunately, players are not allowed to make a 2v8 Custom Game in this current build of Dead by Daylight. However, inviting friends to a 2v8 session is possible. Start by navigating to the 2v8 Game Mode button on the menu screen. Afterwards, decide whether you want to be a Killer or a Survivor. Depending on your decision between being a Killer or a Survivor, you will be allowed to invite a friend to aid you. If you chose Survivor, you may only invite friends to be Survivors. The same can be said if you decided to be Killer. Killers can only invite friends to be Killers.
While there is no option for a 2v8 Custom Game right now, you are still able to play with your friends. Some fans of Dead by Daylight hope this new way to play will be a permanent fixture in the future.
