Five Great Street Fighter Crossover Games

Street Fighter x Tekken

Man I loved playing this game. Released in 2012, Street Fighter x Tekken is a dream crossover that pits characters from the Street Fighter universe against those from the Tekken series. This game combines the 2D fighting style of Street Fighter with Tekken’s 3D mechanics, resulting in a unique blend of gameplay.

There was actually going to be a 3D Tekken x Street Fighter made by the Tekken team. However it seems this game has now been trapped in development hell.

Players can create teams featuring characters like Ryu and Ken from Street Fighter alongside Kazuya and Nina from Tekken, providing a fascinating clash of fighting styles. It also had a pretty fun story and famously featured Bad Box Art Mega Man as a character.

Street Fighter x MegaMan

Street Fighter x Mega Man is a fan-made game, however officially endorsed and published by Capcom in 2012. This platformer combines Mega Man’s classic gameplay with Street Fighter’s iconic characters and moves. Players control Mega Man as he battles through levels inspired by Street Fighter stages, facing off against bosses like Ryu, Chun-Li, and Blanka.

The game is a tribute to both franchises, celebrating Mega Man’s 25th anniversary and Street Fighter’s 25th anniversary simultaneously. It’s actually still available to play for free on Capcom’s website.
