Should You Play Valorant on PC, PS5, or Xbox

While each platform does have it’s own benefits, I will provide recommendations based on what a player may or may not prioritize when it comes to play. Personally, I think deciding on a platform should come with some consideration, such as what your friends are playing on, but very little else in that regard. Regardless, let’s jump in!

My suggested platform for Valorant is PC. This is mostly because first-person shooters do handle a lot better on keyboard and mouse. Again, this will not be true for all players depending on your comfort playing on controller versus keyboard and mouse. But I have found it easier to aim on keyboard and mouse than on controller, and perform skill shots as well. I’m not a fantastic Valorant player, but I do believe that the game is easier on keyboard and mouse by comparison to controller. That’s more or less my reason for suggesting PC over console.

However, if you are looking to play on console, I would pick whatever one you have at home. Since crossplay is available between PlayStation and Xbox, it really doesn’t matter what you pick because performance between the two is more than stable. Keep in mind that if you do decide to play on console you will not be able to play with PC players. That’s the only real caveat here.

Overall, pick whatever platform suits you most. If you are comfortable with controller and have a console available, play it on console! But if you enjoy keyboard and mouse, just pick up the PC version. All version of Valorant are free, so there’s no losing in this situation, except maybe Battle Pass progress.

Valorant is available for PC. It is in open beta on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
