Ahead of the event’s rerun on August 2, 2024, NetEase Games released a new promotional video for the Identity V and Persona 5: Royal crossover collaboration. The company also released an overview of the essences that will be available during the event.
The event, which originally ran all the way back in 2019, introduced survivor skins based on Joker, Ann, Ryuji, and Yusuke. A second part of the event later introduced another set of skins based on Akechi, Haru, Futaba, and Makoto. This time, the two sets will be available concurrently. The new promotional video follows in the style of previous ones, but features all eight of the Persona 5 Royal characters in their Identity V forms.
The skins will be available via the Essence gacha system, with several portraits and a pet Morgana also available via game activities. For every six pulls on these Essences, players will receive a Soul of Resistance item via mail. These can be collected and used to ascend the skins and unlock the characters’ Phantom Thief costumes.
