How to Locate a Jar of Dirt in Fortnite Cursed Sails

The Fortnite Cursed Sails event is here, offering plenty of Pirates of the Caribbean-themed quests. One such quest is a weird one, asking players to “locate a jar of dirt” in Fortnite Cursed Sails. Here’s what you need to know about the location of this jar of dirt and what rewards you get if you find it.

Where do I find a Jar of Dirt in Fortnite?

You want to head to a random set of buildings just south of the Nitrodome on the map and cross the river. This location is seen marked on the map in the screenshot I shared above, and it is basically right next to the train tracks that pass by. You are looking for what appears to be an abandoned bus stuck in the ground.

Right on the side of the vehicle is a glowing object that you can interact with. This is the jar of dirt that we need for this particular quest. All you need to do is interact with the jar, by doing something like holding down Square on PlayStation, to get it. That will complete this portion of the quest and grant you some rewards.

What are the Jar of Dirt quest rewards in Fortnite?

The rewards for the Fortnite Cursed Sails limited-time event quest to locate a jar of dirt isn’t too impressive. All you get for this quest is 5,000 experience. That said, it unlocks a second quest for you to do in this chain. In addition, there is a chance this could unlock further rewards as part of the event.

For instance, some quests ask you to complete multiple in the event to earn Cursed Gold. This is the currency used to unlock items in the event pass. As such, it is worth doing this quest and others to get the best rewards possible.
