Where to Start Chronicle of a New Era FFXIV Dawntrail 7.01 Quest

In order to start the Chronicle of a New Era Dawntrail 7.01 quests you will need to do the following:

  • Reach Level 100 on any Disciple of War or Disciple of Magic Job Class
  • Complete the Main Scenario Quest “Dawntrail”
  • Accept Side Quest “A New Challenger Appears”

Once all of these conditions are met, head to X:19.1 Y:18.8 in Solution Nine and speak to the Stylish Stranger. You will then be able to accept the Side Quest “A New Challenger Appears.” Keep in mind that you will not be able to accept this quest, and it will not show up, until you have completed the Main Scenario Quest “Dawntrail.”

Additionally, you will need to be Level 100 on any Disciple of War of Disciple of Magic Job Class in order to accept the Side Quest. This means it will not reward any experience. But that’s fine since you will be accepting the quest on a capped Job Class anyways.

Accepting this quest will begin the Chronicle of a New Era questline for this update patch. Which means you just need to head to the next NPC marked on your map by a blue marker with a plus sign attached after completing the initial quest.

Final Fantasy XIV Dawntrail is available right now for PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
