In Ark of Charon, your Golems are your workers and minions who help you construct your fortress. You start off with three, you can get more and specialize them for different tasks.
How do I get more Golems in Ark of Charon?
You’ll only be able to spawn more Golems in Ark of Charon once you’ve moved your place on the map at least once, and you may have to do so more than once to get them. This is because in order to create Golems, you need to gather the souls of enemies slain as you move from area to area.
Once you have enough souls, you simply need to click the core of your sapling. Select the Spawn Golems button. This will bring up a menu that allows you to choose which souls to make your golem out of, with each one providing different bonuses. You can use up to three souls of each type when you make a golem. Since it may take you a while to build up to your perfect renaissance man, starting with a single bonus is perfectly fine.
How do I get Souls in Ark of Charon?
Collecting souls is simple. As you slay enemies with your ballistae (or cannons, or machine guns…) you’ll begin to gather bits of soul. When you’ve got enough, it will be stored in your core. The type of souls you’ll collect from foes is defined by what area you are traveling to when you slay them, and you can see which ones are available from the map screen before you make your decision to move.
There are five types of souls you can use to make Golems in Ark of Charon:
- Beast souls: Make your Golems run faster.
- Bird souls: Increase building and repair speed.
- Human souls: Boost Golems’ production and cooking speed.
- Insect souls: Grant a bonus to farming and harvesting.
- Mecha souls: Mining speed increases.
You’ll need to decide which souls you want to prioritize as you move in Ark of Charon, as they’re a resource as useful as stone, wood, or iron.
Ark of Charon is available for PC via Steam Early Access.
