Overlord: Imagine Stories Card Game Will Create Random Tales

Kadokawa revealed a new Overlord-themed card game that will let players generate random stories featuring characters from the franchise. The game’s title will be Overlord: Imagine Stories, and it will appear in Japan in September 2024.

The game can be played solo or multiplayer with an average play session time of around twenty minutes. The player will place seven characters who will interact with each other, along with event descriptions like amnesia or betrayal. They can then roll the dice to determine whether the characters will have neutral, friendly, or hostile encounters, as well as the quality of the story’s ending.

Overlord: Imagine Stories will be available for purchase via four Japanese web stores: Animate, Rakuten Books, 7net Shopping, and Kadokawa Store. However, none of them formally support international shipments of this product. Even though Kadokawa Store does have a WorldShopping widget, it does not include global shipping compatibility for this set.

Each outlet will also feature a limited stock of exclusive bonus cards based on the new characters appearing in the Overlord: The Holy Kingdom movie, which is set to launch in Japanese theaters on September 20, 2024—the exact same day Kadokawa releases this card game set.
