As mentioned earlier, the video shows prefecture ambassadors in Japan dancing along with a human. Some of the Pokemon actors manage to insert some individuality into their performances. For example, the person inside Slowpoke barely moves to reflect the laziness of the Pokemon. Pokemon that appear in the video include Vulpix and Alolan Vulpix (Hokkaido), Oshawott (Mie), and Lapras (Miyagi). The video then ends with all of the Pokemon waving goodbye to the viewer.

Some prefectures in Japan have a Pokemon ambassador. There’s usually an actual reason for why certain prefectures choose certain Pokemon. Fukui Prefecture chose Dragonite due to the dinosaur museum and fossils found in the area. The ambassador Pokemon appears on a lot of promotional merchandise in the prefecture, as well as in collaborations. In the past, Kagawa opened up a park with Slowpoke-themed toys, as Slowpoke is Kagawa Prefecture’s ambassador.

The latest mainline title in the Pokemon series, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, is readily available on the Nintendo Switch.
