Nintendo revealed a new game in the Legend of Zelda series, titled The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, and this game marks a significant shift by letting you play Princess Zelda. She will be the main protagonist for the first time, and people will get to play it on September 26, 2024.
Nintendo shared the announcement trailer below. It begins with an introduction that explains why Zelda would suddenly be the character you play as in the new The Legend of Zelda game. The actual Nintendo Direct also offered an extensive look at gameplay.
This new entry is a puzzle platformer that introduces an Echo ability for Zelda. This ability allows players to copy objects and enemies, adding a strategic element to the gameplay. This mechanic is designed to provide interesting ways to solve puzzles and engage in combat. The visual aesthetic of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom is also reminiscent of the Link’s Awakening remake’s signature art style.
In conjunction with the game’s launch, Nintendo will also release a special edition Switch Lite system. The Hyrule Edition will be available on the same day. It is the first gold Switch Lite model, and it features the Triforce on the back.
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom will be available on the Nintendo Switch starting September 26, 2024.
