How to Find the Miracle That Undoes a Slip of the Tongue in SMTV Vengeance

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance has a batch of new side quests for players to check out in this definitive version. One of the most confusing side quests is Miracle Research, which tasks players with finding the “miracle that undoes a slip of the tongue” in SMTV Vengeance. Fortunately, there is an easy answer to this.

What Is the Miracle That Undoes a Slip of the Tongue in Miracle Research?

The Miracle Research quest begins in Tokyo, where the operations for Bethel are based. There is a male researcher pretty early in the storyline that will task players with this new side quest. The idea is he wants to know more about the Miracles the Nahobino can acquire, and he wants to see a specific one.

This particular Miracle is purely described as the “Miracle that undoes a slip of the tongue.” This is quite an odd statement. Fortunately, if you dig a little deeper, you realize this is likely referring to the only “talking” mechanic in the game: negotiation. So, we want a Miracle that helps undo essentially a failure in negotiation, which is none other than Pacification.

How to Unlock Pacification Miracle in SMTV Vengeance

Pacification is the Miracle that undoes a slip of the tongue for the Miracle Research quest in SMTV Vengeance. To unlock this, you want to head to the nearest fast travel point. There, head to the World of Shadows and speak with Sophia. You want to pick the Apotheosis option. Then you want to “learn Miracles.”

You will find Pacification near the bottom of the Supremacy category. How this Miracle works is if you fail a negotiation, there is a chance the demon will forgive you. This is actually super useful if you do negotiations a lot. I found it activated pretty often, perhaps even 50% of the time I messed up or more. Once you have Pacification, return to the researcher to complete the quest.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance is available right now for Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
