The Pokemon Center Japanese Twitter (X) account revealed that there will be plushes of Vivillon from Pokemon Generation VI. There will be twenty different variations of Vivillon, to match with the twenty different types of wing patterns there are in the game.
These Vivillon plushes are part of the Pokemon Fit line of toys. They’re called “Pokemon Fit” because they’re small enough to fit in your hand, and it features Pokemon from all of the different regions. Each push costs 1980 JPY, which would convert to around $17.30. You’ll be able to stat ordering them from the Pokemon Center store from June 13, 2024. However, the North American version of the store does not carry them.
Vivillon first debuted in Pokemon X and Y as the Butterfree clone of that generation. Its wing pattern depends on the real-world geographic location you spawn the Pokemon in. For example, those in Taiwan or Hong Kong would get a Monsoon pattern on their Vivillon. Meanwhile, those in most of Japan would get Elegant. This was likely to encourage trading, especially since as a 3DS game, X and Y could take advantage of services like StreetPass even when you’re abroad.
Pokemon X and Y was on the Nintendo 3DS. The latest mainline entry in the Pokemon series is Scarlet and Violet, which is readily available on the Nintendo Switch. The only type of Vivillon in Scarlet and Violet is the Fancy Pattern unless you send a postcard from Pokemon Go.
