Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is coming in 2024 and is the first new mainline game from renowned developer Treyarch since 2020. As always, there will be various pre-order bonuses for players to unlock for purchasing Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 early, alongside the complicated carry forward situation.

What Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 pre-order bonuses can I get?

There are two different versions of this new Call of Duty game for players to pre-order. The first is the standard edition. If you pre-order the regular version of the game, you will get a couple of neat pre-order bonuses for free, including some that are available right now:

  • Call of Duty: Black Ops 6
  • Early access to the open beta
  • Woods Operator Pack (usable right now to use in Call of Duty MW3 and Warzone)

Players also have the option to pre-order the Vault Edition. This comes with the game, everything the regular version has in terms of pre-order bonuses, and the following additional items:

  • Early access to the open beta
  • Gobblegum Pack
  • Hunters vs Hunted Operator Pack
  • Mastercraft Collection
  • Season 1 Blackcell Battle Pass
  • Woods Operator Pack

There is also a Cross-Gen Bundle, which lets players own the standard version of the game on either both PS4 and PS5 or Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.

Will I be able to carry forward weapons and skins into Call of Duty: Black Ops 6?

One of the most surprising and possibly controversial parts about Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is its carry forward feature. Or in this case, the lack thereof of one. Despite the past three games generally sharing content with one another, especially in the case of the previous two, this will not be happening for Black Ops 6.

Almost none of the progression, levels, unlockables, Operators, skins, weapon camos, maps, modes, and even weapons will carry forward to the new Treyarch title. The only thing that will be shared between these games is the Woods Operator Pack, and that is it. This is meant to be a fresh game, so unfortunately all of the cosmetics and content players have purchased or unlocked will not be available in this new game.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 will release for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC on October 25, 2024. It will also be available on Xbox Game Pass.
