VShojo Vtuber Kuro on Break for Health Reasons

VShojo Vtuber K9 Kuro announced a break for health reasons due to a ruptured eardrum. There is no estimate for his return, though he noted his hearing will be affected for about a month and he’s been sharing daily updates on social media regarding his current condition.

The situation with Kuro’s health first started on June 6, 2024. He noted he’d be delaying his “Wii Games Part 2” stream due to ear pain. Here is that announcement:

On June 7, 2024, Kuro shared a second update. In it, he said he started on four medications, was experiencing pain and hearing loss, and it was affecting his other ear as well.

Later that same day, Kuro confirmed a hospital visit with a photo. It’s then that he announced the situation was caused by a ruptured eardrum, and part of the effects of that would be impaired hearing for “up to a month.”

Kuro’s June 9, 2024 update was a more extended one. In it, he noted the hearing loss affected both ears, and that he’s still experiencing some degree of pain.

Kuro is the first VShojo male Vtuber, and he debuted back in October 2023. This comes right after his birthday celebration, which involved the VShojo Store selling a $15 K9 Face Mask, a $25 Kuro Birthday Celebration Standee, and $110 Kuro Kuffs bracelets.

Further updates on VShojo Vtuber K9 Kuro will be shared on his social media account.
