During the Version 2.3 Special Program, developer HoYoverse detailed some of the events due to arrive in Honkai: Star Rail. The next update, Version 2.3, is set to arrive on June 19, 2024, alongside new characters Jade and Firefly and a new Simulated Universe variation.
Called “Divergent Universe: Human Comedy,” this new mode for the Simulated Universe will feature “equations” that provide extensive buffs, but only if a number of blessings from specific paths are obtained. There are also new Weighted Curios, that are designed to work with specific types of characters. Under-leveled characters will be boosted to the recommended level of the run.
There is also a new light cone in the Herta store and weekly challenges to complete for rewards. Additionally, players who complete a run of Divergent Universe will be able to save a record of the blessings and curios used, and “reload” it to skip right to the final boss for easier farming of Planar Ornament relics.
Meanwhile, another useful feature that will appear is the When Charmony Rings Out event page, which allows players who have completed the Trailblaze mission “Jarilo IV – The Return” will be able to claim the Harmony version of the Trailblazer. This will be available even if players have not completed the Penacony storylines usually needed to unlock it, though players that have will receive an Eidolon for the character instead.
Other events coming to Honkai: Star Rail in Version 2.3 include:
- Apocalyptic Shadow – A new permanent endgame event similar to Pure Fiction and Memory of chaos, which will be updated alternatingly with those modes. The event sees players challenging modified versions of previous boss enemies to earn Stellar Jades.
- Treasures Lightward – The Stellar Jade reward for events like Memory of Chaos and Apocalyptic shadow will be permanently increased to 800 from 720.
- Origami Bird Clash – A competitive Match 3 game that will provide Stellar Jades, Tracks of Destiny, and Formless Resin as rewards. A multiplayer mode will also be available.
- Stellar Shimmer- A sequel to the previous Stellar Flare event. A combat event with special mechanics like extra turns on weakness break or unlimited combat revivals. Will award Stellar Jades and Tracks of Destiny.
- New Relics Sets – Iron Cavalry Against the Scourge will boost break damage, while The Wind-Soaring Valorous boosts ultimate damage after follow-up attack.
- Realm of the Strange – Double Relic rewards from Caverns of Corrosion.
- Planar Fissure – Double Planar Ornament rewards from the Simulated Universe.
- Gift of Odyssey – Log-in campaign that awards a total of 10 free Warp tickets over 7 days.

The 2.3 Special Program also gave us a look at upcoming 5* characters Firefly, who is Fire and Destruction type, and Quantum Erudition character Jade. Shortly after the program, HoYoverse announced the update would arrive on June 19, 2024.
Honkai: Star Rail Version 2.3 is set to launch on June 19, 2024, while the game itself is already available on PC, PS5, and mobile devices.
