Bungie has taken Destiny 2 completely offline to prepare for the launch of The Final Shape expansion. As a result, many players are asking, “when does Destiny 2 go offline for Final Shape?” Here is when the FPS will be back online and when you can play the DLC in your region.

Destiny 2 will go offline for The Final Shape starting on June 3, 2024, at 9 AM PDT or 12 PM EST. As a result, many players will not be able to log in for over 24 hours as Bungie prepares the game for the massive patch. The extended server maintenance is expected to end at 12 PM in the morning the next day.
That means Destiny 2 The Final Shape will officially be released on June 4, 2024, at 10 AM PDT. While we have a set time for when the DLC Expansion is expected to go live, it can still be a bit confusing to know when that time is depending on your region.
For your convenience, we have provided a table below that shows when Destiny 2 will go offline for The Final Shape in each region:

When Will Destiny 2 Servers Be Back Online? (The Final Shape Release Times)
As stated above, Bungie is taking Destiny 2 offline for a total of 24 hours to prepare the game for the massive expansion. Thankfully, the Sony developer has also given us a set window of time when the maintenance will be over.
However, it should be noted that Bungie says players will be able to “login starting at 10 am PDT) on June 4, but that they expect the full maintenance to actually end at “12:00 pm PDT”. To make it a bit easier to understand, here are the Destiny 2 Final Shape Release times per region and when the servers will be back online:

All of this is assuming that the server maintenance goes off without a hitch. Given the hype for The Final Shape, there will be a lot of players trying to slam the game’s servers all at the same time. So players should prepare for the possibility of delayed maintenance, or Destiny 2 being down for a couple of extra hours.
