In Wuthering Waves, Mortefi is a 4-star Fusion Pistol character whose kit makes him a great sub-DPS, and thus you should build him as one. Here is the best Wuthering Waves Mortefi build, including which Echoes and Weapons you should use with him.
Best Mortefi Weapons in Wuthering Waves
- Static Mist
- Static Mist is a 5-star Pistol that increases Energy Regeneration. It also increases the Resonator you switch in after Mortefi uses his Outro Skill. This makes it the perfect weapon for his kit, as you should switch him out after he uses his Resonance Liberation to provide everyone with Burning Rhapsody.
- Cadenza
- Cadenza is a good weapon for your Mortefi build in Wuthering Waves since it can restore Resonance Energy when he uses his Resonance Skill. This is good for his Resonance Liberation uptime.
- Pistols of Night
- Pistols of Night is a good Pistol to use for Mortefi if you don’t really have anything else. It increases his ATK when he uses his Intro Skill, which is good for when he’s on the field.
- Undying Flame
- Undying Flame increases Mortefi’s Resonance Skill DMG when he uses his Intro Skill. Since Mortefi has a pretty good Resonance Skill, albeit simple, one, Undying Flame is a pretty good weapon for him. It’s similar to Pistols of Night in that it’s good if you want to make Mortefi more your main damage dealer.
- Novaburst
- Novaburst increases Mortefi’s ATK when he dashes or dodges. Again, like the above weapons, they’re suited for a Mortefi who deals more damage while he’s on the field rather than a sub-DPS version of him.
Best Mortefi Echoes in Wuthering Waves
The two best Sonata Effects for Mortefi are Molten Rift and Moonlit Clouds. He does not need to use either set’s 5-piece effect. You can choose to combine them or choose one and use that as your main 5-piece. I suggest giving him a combination of both.
When you’re choosing stats for your Echoes, you should consider Fusion DMG, Energy Regen, and Crit stats. Fusion DMG and Crit stats will help with Mortefi’s damage numbers. Meanwhile, since his Resonance Liberation is his biggest selling point, you’ll want to let him use it as much as possible, hence the Energy Regen.
Below is a list of Echoes that you can use for each set (as of Version 1.0):
