Animal Crossing: New Horizons is one of the most successful games on the Nintendo Switch, and for a good reason. The extraordinarily customizable island life and adorable villagers lend themselves well to merch items outside of the game. Here are some of the most unusual but highly recommended Animal Crossing crossover merchandise.
Godiva Animal Crossing Chocolate Box
When it comes to collaboration merchandise for this beloved Nintendo series, one of the most intriguing and delicious options is the crossover with Godiva. The popular chocolate company came out with a box of themed chocolates in Japan.
There was leaf-shaped green chocolate and candies with various characters on top of them, such as Isabelle, Tom Nook, and Timmy and Tommy. There were six chocolates in the box upon its release. In addition to that set, there was also another cutesy container with individually wrapped chocolates as part of the collaboration.
Animal Crossing New Horizons Leaf Hair Clip
Simple yet stylish, this hair clip lets you wear Animal Crossing’s iconic leaf logo anywhere you want. While not your typical kind of merchandise, it’s the perfect kind of oddity that a fan of the series would love to wear. — Bailey Vanderlee
ColourPop Cosmetics x Animal Crossing
The ColourPop cosmetics company is known for its brilliant themed makeup sets, and there is even one for Animal Crossing. There are a couple of different palettes available, including one themed around Tom Nook and his boys with a heavy green color scheme. In addition, there is my favorite, which is the gorgeous brown and tan “What a Hoot!” makeup color palette themed around the lovable Blathers and Celeste.
Animal Crossing Monopoly
This is one crossover I never expected but adore so much. Any Animal Crossing fan who likes to play multiplayer with friends and family needs to pick up this Monopoly board game. I own this in my collection and use it often for game nights. What is fascinating is this is not a pure theme swap, as it works totally differently from the regular game. Players do various Animal Crossing-style tasks around the board to collect Bell’s currency to win the game.
Nook Inc. Wood Wall Art
This product simply is a plaque of wood with Nook Inc. written on it and Animal Crossing’s iconic leaf logo. The design is minimalist but effective. It can easily go under the radar of those who aren’t familiar with Animal Crossing, but the real fans will know exactly what you’re up to. — Bailey Vanderlee
Lego Animal Crossing
Lego has so many excellent crossovers with video game franchises, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons looks like one of the best. The adorable villagers and characters from throughout the series work so well in Lego form. There are, fortunately, quite a few sets to collect, too, such as Isabelle’s house, Dodo Airlines, and Kapp’n’s Island Boat Tour.
Animal Crossing x Sanrio Amiibo Card Pack
Each pack contains all the cards that were created in Animal Crossing’s collaboration with Sanrio. The designs are as cute as you would expect, making them a great collector’s item regardless if you use them in your game or not — Bailey Vanderlee
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is available right now for Nintendo Switch.
