Fortnite Battle Royale is gearing up for the next era of the popular free-to-play game with Chapter 5 Season 3. The upcoming new season will bring a new Battle Pass and changes to the island. But before all that, players have to get through the annoying but understandable Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 maintenance period.
When does Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 maintenance start?
Given how long the maintenance periods can often be for Fortnite, it’s understandable if you want to know when it will start and end so you can time things out. At this time, Epic Games in Japan announced the start time for maintenance, as did the Fortnite Creators account. It has not been confirmed by the main game account yet. As such, it appears the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 maintenance will begin at around 2am ET/8am CET/3pm JST on May 24, 2024. (That’s 11pm PT on May 23, 2024.) This is the same day the new season is scheduled to launch. This is also quite intriguing since the last couple of seasons have featured server downtime right after a major event.
When will Chapter 5 Season 3 maintenance end?
Fortunately for players, it looks like the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 maintenance will not last for a long time, so we’ll know more about that Fallout tease soon. In fact, if the maintenance period begins early in the morning on launch day, it should finish only a few hours afterward. Though there is no official announcement yet on the end time, we expect it to conclude still in the morning of May 24, 2024.
If it follows the pattern of past seasons, it should finish anywhere between 2am PT/5am ET and around 9pm PT/12pm ET. It will likely be closer to the former time as well. The only reason it might go longer is if there are some major issues with applying the new patch. Note you will need to download the new update during this server downtime to play the new season and experience all of its goodies like the potential Fallout crossover.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked is set to release for Android, Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on May 24, 2024.
