Vampire Survivors offers a plethora of DLC packs that enhance the game with new stages, characters, weapons, and challenges. Let’s take a look to determine how the Vampire Survivors DLC stack against each other.
The Best Vampire Survivors DLC
Each of the four paid DLCs brings something unique to the table. Despite their differences and the comparisons we are drawing today, their price points and quality make them all worth picking up.
Keep in mind that despite my attempts to be as objective as possible, the following list is still just my opinion. Your list may differ completely. Here’s my ranking of these DLCs in descending order based on their overall impact and entertainment value.
4. Tides of Foscari
At the bottom of the list is Tides of Foscari. While this DLC introduces an intriguing fairy tale aesthetic and adds new characters and enemies, the additions feel less compelling compared to other expansions. Despite its charm, it lacks the excitement and engagement found in the other packs, making it the least memorable DLC for me in terms of thematic appeal.
3. Operation Guns
Operation Guns takes the third spot with its fun and nostalgic 80s throwback theme. This DLC offers a delightful blend of retro action and aesthetics, adding fun new characters and weapons to the mix. However, the novelty wears off somewhat quickly as the weapons and characters can feel overshadowed by those in the base game and other DLCs. Nonetheless, it’s a solid addition that provides a good bit of fun, particularly for fans of the 80s era.
2. Legacy of the Moonspell
Legacy of the Moonspell comes in second place, primarily due to its captivating characters and the incorporation of Japanese folklore. This DLC adds unique and visually striking enemies alongside well-designed characters that bring fresh abilities to the battlefield. The Japanese mythology theme adds a layer of cultural depth, making it a standout pack.
1. Emergency Meeting
Topping the list is Emergency Meeting, which introduces an incredibly fun stage and some game-breaking combos that are simply too enjoyable to ignore. The chaotic and engaging new level, combined with the potential for overpowered gameplay, is just exactly what I want in a DLC like this. I think the innovative combinations and dynamic stage design make it the best expansion for Vampire Survivors.
However, as stated above, all four DLCs are well worth exploring for fans of the game. Each one offers diverse content that enhances the already addictive gameplay. So, while I put Emergency Meeting in the top spot, I still recommend snagging all of them.
Vampire Survivors is available on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, PC, and mobile.
