Epic Games has revealed that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked will be themed around a post-apocalyptic wasteland and will include a Fallout crossover. This guide will explain when the Fortnite Fallout season starts and when you can download Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked in your region.
When does the Fortnite Fallout Collab start? (Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Release Date)
Before we dive into this, it should be stated that Epic Games has not yet confirmed that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked will be themed entirely around Fallout. However, on May 17, 2024, the developer tweeted out a teaser picture of the new season, which features the Brotherhood of Steel in front of a post-apocalyptic location.
Assuming the whole season is themed around the Bethesda game, the Fortnite Fallout Season will kick off on May 24, 2024. Based on previous seasons, here is when you can expect to play the Fortnite Fallout Collab in each region:

These times are tentative and can change. Epic Games usually pushes out updates at 4 AM EDT. However, Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 ended up being delayed over 12 hours due to major server problems. So, if you live internationally, you may have to wait till May 25, 2024, to jump in if the update doesn’t go smoothly.
Is Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Fallout themed?
Circling back to the original question, it’s still unclear whether we will truly get a Fortnite Fallout season. The only confirmation we have is that Epic Games posted an image of the Brotherhood of Steel. This could just be a future Fortnite Fallout collab event being teased, Fallout skins in the battle pass, or shop items.
Looking at previous seasons, though, it does seem likely. For example, in Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 2 Myths & Mortals, Epic Games teased the Greek gods in images and trailers. Then, when the update dropped, the entire season was themed around them. Conversely, we know that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked is themed around a post-apocalyptic world that will change the map into a desert wasteland. So it being Fallout-themed just makes sense.
If it truly is a Fortnite Fallout Season, then the collab will begin on May 24, 2024, at the times listed above. If it’s just a future Fortnite Fallout collab, then the crossover might start at a later date. However, several prominent Fortnite leakers seem to be confident that Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 Wrecked will feature Fallout POI’s on the map. So we’ll just have to wait and see!
