The Legend of Korra crossover event is now live in Fortnite, and players can unlock the Waterbending Mythic Item during matches. This guide will explain where to find Waterbending in Fortnite and how to use the Mythic Item to unlock the Korra skin.
How to get Waterbending in Fortnite
Waterbending is a new Mythic Item in Fortnite, and can be found as a random drop in Chests and overworld spawns throughout the map. As a result, there is no set place where you can find Waterbending in Fortnite. The Avatar weapon is similar to the Thunderbolt of Zeus Mythic, which was added at the launch of Chapter 5, Season 2.
To get Waterbending in Fortnite, you need to look for a golden paper scroll with the (Mythic) tag on it. In my game, I was actually able to find it as an overworld spawn in multiple matches. However, I also found one by opening a common chest. While “rare,” you should be able to find Waterbending fairly easily if you play a handful of matches and service past the first storm circle.
How to use Waterbending in Fortnite
You may be looking for Waterbending to complete the “Collect Mythic Items” Korra quest in Fortnite. The side quest unlocks the epic “Avatar’s Descent” Contrail. Yes, Waterbending counts towards this task. In fact, the easiest way to complete this quest is to find the Waterbending and Thunderbolt of Zeus items randomly throughout the map.
To use Waterbending in Fortnite, you just need to pick up the Mythic Item scroll in a chest or on the ground. Once you have it equipped, you just spam your “R2” (PlayStation) or “RT” (Xbox) to bend water at your opponents. The Avat weapon is best used for close-quarter combat and is similar to a Shotgun. Just be careful, as you will need to reload after throwing at a certain amount of water.
