Epic Games released the first Lego Fortnite major content update in February 2024, bringing with it several new items and even materials for players to collect. Two of the new items are the spyglass and compass, which players are able to craft in Lego Fortnite with the newly added sand material. Here’s how to make both of them.
How do I make a spyglass in Lego Fortnite?
The heart of both of the spyglass and compass comes down to sand. If you want to get these two items, you’ll need to find that resource. There are two ways to get sand. One is through the desert biome, and the other is by visiting a beach. If you have a desert near you and can survive there, you’ll be able to gather sand with ease.
If you want to head to the beach, which is what I prefer to do, bring along a shovel. You can make it at the crafting bench. Dig up sand on the beach to acquire this material. From there, you need to take the sand to your metal smelter to turn it into the new material of glass.
To make a spyglass, you need four glass pieces and a knotroot rod. The spyglass is a tool you can equip to look at areas far away from you.
How do I craft a compass in Lego Fortnite?
The compass might be the more important of these two new Lego Fortnite items. You can make it with two glass pieces and a wolf claw. The compass adds a compass radar to your screen. This lights up to show the various markers and villages you have built around the world. This is a great quality-of-life feature, which makes exploring simpler since you don’t have to constantly open up your map.
