Roguelike games will challenge even the most skilled of players, and Cult of the Lamb is no exception as enemies and traps whittle away at your health as you make your way to kill Elder Gods. Fortunately, you can recover, and I’ll help you find the several ways you can heal in Cult of the Lamb to help you get through the most arduous trials.
How do I heal in Cult of the Lamb?
Since the game is a roguelike, it means that your options to heal are fairly limited. However, there are a few ways to bolster your health pool and even earn back lost health with the help of Vampiric Weapons. But some of these methods will require dedication and even sacrifices to obtain them.
You can heal using the following methods:
- Obtaining Resurrection through your Crown: This is a revive that comes at the cost of sacrificing one of your followers. It is reliant on upgrading your Crown by performing Sermons to obtain Commandment Piece. You can also get Ritual of the Dead as a Doctrine to more or less cancel this out.
- Open chests in dungeons: This is another random way to heal. A chest may allow you to get more health as you explore and clear rooms.
- Pick up Tarot Cards: This is another random method. They are obtained in Dungeons by finding a unique room where the vendor will allow you to pick a card. You are not guaranteed to be offered one that would increase your health or armor.
- Swim in Blood Pools in dungeons: These appear randomly, as it will be a unique room you can pick while going through a dungeon and show up on the “map” as you progress.
- Using Vampiric Weapons: As you level up your faith via Temple sermons, you’ll find it as a tier 2 reward after unlocking Bane Weapons and Might of the Devout I.
Those are the only ways players can heal themselves in the game, but it makes sense given that these types of titles are meant to test your skill and finesse. Your best bet is to generally not get hit and time those dodges just right. But if you feel yourself struggling, you can always equip the Fleece of the Fragile Fortitude which will replace 1.5x of your total Hearts (or health) with Armored Hearts.
Cult of the Lamb is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
