Kotobukiya has opened pre-orders for its upcoming plastic model kit of Mega Man X in his Falcon Armor. People can now place orders for the kit, which has a price tag of 8,360 yen (~$58). The 1/12 scale kit will have an overall height of around 140mm (~5.5 inches) when completed.

After previously revealing an unpainted prototype in May 2023, Kotobukiya has shared new sample images with the prototype now fully painted. The full package will come with pre-painted parts so that anyone can simply build the kit. The set will come with interchangeable hands, facial expression parts, and arm crystals. Some of the sample images show X wielding the Z-Saber, which is only available separately in Zero’s model kits.

The model kit may come with different bonus items based on where people place their orders. The Japan-exclusive Kotobukiya Online Shop offers effect parts with alternate colors that change the saber’s glow from blue to green. AmiAmi, which supports international shipping, will instead include an A5 acrylic character plate of the Falcon Armor X.

The Falcon Armor originally appeared in the 2000 PlayStation entry Mega Man X5. It also reappears in Mega Man X6, albeit with reduced capabilities like the omission of flight mode. Both games are included in the second volume of Mega Man X Legacy Collection, which is available immediately on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PC.

The 1/12 scale Mega Man X Falcon Armor model kit will be officially available in May 2024.
