Publisher Fruitbat Factory has released the second DLC side-story for TORaIKI’s Japanese folklore puzzle-RPG 99 Spirits on Steam. You can purchase it for $4.99 providing you have already bought the original game.
Called Weeping Demon’s Bell, this DLC is presented as a visual novel, and lets you explore the characters of the main game and their various relationships. Specifically, you’ll be following events involving young blacksmith Kotetsu and his childhood friend Waka. Kotetsu has a darkness growing inside him as he gets pulled into battle after battle, while Waka gets an invitation to entertain a nobleman. This prompts the question: “Can the two unveil the identity of their real enemy before it’s too late?”
There’s also 99 Spirits Drama Theater to check out, which includes three bonus stories: Little Hanabusa, Saki’s Present, and Komiya’s Medicine Hunt.
