7 Free Days of FFXIV as Congestion Compensation

FFXIV 7 free days

As compensation for the long login queues resulting in less or difficult play time, Square Enix will offer 7 days for free when FFXIV Endwalker officially launches on December 7, 2021. This offer is only for players with the full version and an active subscription. Additionally, the team may give out even more free game time depending on the FFXIV congestion situation.

The free 7 days is also for people who are using their 30-day free play period. After registering the full version of the game, these players will get an additional 7 days. Players with multiple accounts are also eligible for the 7 days. After FFXIV Endwalker entered Early Access, many players have not been able to login due to the long queue times and congestion. Errors are also occurring as a result of heavy network load.

Peak hours on the North American Data Center are 12pm to 10pm PT/3pm to 1am ET, so the team suggests avoiding that window. Error 2002 happens when there are too many players in the queue, or there is trouble with your internet connection. Error 4004, 5003, and 5006 are the result of waiting in the login queue for too long. The FFXIV team is working on a way to extend the session time in order to reduce these errors and congestion issues.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5. The Endwalker expansion is in Early Access and its official launch date is December 7, 2021. Players will get their 7 free days after FFXIV: Endwalker is released.
