Coma is a 3D action/adventure game where the player is fighting against spirits that want them to give in to death, and can only battle these beasts using their cherished memories and reflections of the people who care about them.
Creatures that wish to drag the protagonist from their coma into death abound, promising danger as the player explores their subconscious while trying to repair their broken synapses. They can fight back on their own, but it’s advised that the player draw upon the memories they can find in this world. Items that have great personal importance to the player can become their weapons, and things that call up something they care about – a beloved pet, a lost loved one, or a great friend – can bring these beings into this world, where they will give assistance in combat. It’s just up to the player to find them out in the dreamy wilderness.
As players explore these generated dreamscapes, they will find the answers as to how they came to be in a coma, as well as repair the structures of their mind in order to free themselves from it.
Coma is still in development, but will release on PC and Xbox One when it becomes available.
