Riot Games began releasing codes for the 2XKO Alpha Lab playtest on August 8, 2024. With this playtest, the developers hope players will provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of the tag team fighter. Riot Games has given the details as to when the first round of playtest for 2XKO Alpha Lab will be available to players.
When will the 2XKO Alpha Lab playtest start?
Similar to Valorant, Riot Games is hosting a 2XKO playtest to give players hand-on access to the game. The 2XKO Alpha Lab playtest starts on August 8, 2024. To be more specific, the playtest for the tag fighter will start at 1 p.m. pst. Below is a list of regions and times the playtest will begin:
- Brazil | 5 PM
- Canada | 1 PMPST
- France | 10 PM
- Japan | 5 PM
- Mexico | 2 PM
- United Kingdom | 9 PM
- United States of America | 1 PM PST
As Japan is 13 hours ahead of the United States, the playest starts on August 9, 2024 for those who want to play.
Riot Games also unveiled the date in which the 2XKO Alpha Lab platest will conclude for those participating. The 2XKO Alpha Lab playtest will cease on August 19, 2024. This period of time gives players the opportunity to test and communicate feedback to developers for 12 days.
Will the playtest period be extended?
In the past, Riot Games has demonstrated that they are willing to extend betas until they are satisfied with their product. This rings true with the Valorant beta tests for both PC and consoles. The closed beta for Valorant on PC was available from April 7, 2020 – May 28, 2020; a few days before the official release date of June 2, 2020. For 2XKO, however, August 8, 2024 – August 19, 2024 is the only period players can enjoy the fighter as of now.
2XKO is set to release in 2025 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
