Today, Sega held a new demo event for Yakuza: Like a Dragon, with a new build of the game that adds in Action Commands during some actions, as well as the first female party member, Saeko Mukuoda. Famitsu was able to later interview Yakuza: Like a Dragon director Toshihiro Nagoshi, who revealed that a demo is coming, and more.

Here are the highlights:

  • A demo is coming, and details on the demo’s release date will be released soon.

  • One of the job classes available is a Clerk job, which is exclusive to one of the party members. That job class will have her use box cutters and drawing pins to attack.

  • Nagoshi states that people shouldn’t forget that this isn’t just an RPG, but a drama about human characters. They have been pushing the RPG angle in demos and such so that more people will understand what gameplay is like, but this other side shouldn’t be forgotten. More info on this drama side will release in the future.
