One of Sting’s strategic Dept. Heaven games is making a comeback. The company’s official Twitter account has revealed Android and Apple iOS devices will be getting Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone in Spring 2019. Currently, only a Japanese release has been announced, but the initial teaser does have English text and both the Game Boy Advance and PlayStation Portable versions of this game were localized.

Here is the official announcement, which notes the game will be coming this year, allow people to use controllers, have a new UI and other features, and be getting a website soon.

In Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone, people follow Princess Yggdra of Fantasinia. The Bronquian Empire has ousted her, but fortunately she is still armed with the Holy Sword Gran Centurio. She ends up uniting an army to fight back. The unusual mechanic here is that you typically would attack in groups known as unions, hence the name, so you would arrange and attack with characters in certain positions and by picking cards to determine your weapon, movement, and skill for the turn.

This is not the first Yggdra Union-related mobile game from Sting. Yggdra Unison, a real-time stragy game spin-off, appeared on phones and the Nintendo DS in Japan.

Yggdra Union: We’ll Never Fight Alone will come to Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan in Spring 2019. It is immediately available on the Game Boy Advance and PlayStation Portable worldwide.
