Producer Koji Igarashi announced today that Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night has been delayed to 2019, and that the Vita version has been cancelled.

Firstly, the delay to 2019 has been decided in order to raise the quality of the game, in direct response to feedback for the Beta Backer Demo released in June this year. Secondly, the decision to cancel the Vita version comes from Sony’s plans to discontinue the Vita, as well as Vita physical copies and certain online store support features.

For backers who ordered the Vita version of the game, they can either choose a different platform, or request a refund via Paypal, through an email that will be sent through Fangamer soon.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC in 2019.
