We previously reported that Universal Studios Japan is adding a Final Fantasy attraction next year and it’s been officially revealed as a new simulation ride called Final Fantasy XR Ride.

Starting January 19 through June 24, 2018, fans of the Final Fantasy series will get to check out Final Fantasy XR Ride, a motion simulator ride that will take you through the entire series as part of the attraction park’s “Universal Cool Japan 2018” campaign that helps promotes anime, video games, and other cool things that appeal to a worldwide audience from Japan.

The attraction will focus on the high-end cinematics that fans have come to love from the series, and the visuals will be produced by none other than Visual Works, the Square Enix studio behind many Final Fantasy cutscenes. Attendees will get to experience a journey that warps across various Final Fantasy worlds on an airship, where they’ll get to see everything in the 360-degree visuals.

And just to give it more of an authentic Final Fantasy taste, series illustrator Yoshitaka Amano made a logo with the concept of Final Fantasy’s beautiful worlds and XR Ride’s intensity.

Final Fantasy XR Ride will be available at Universal Studios Japan from January 19 to June 24, 2018.
