Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS sold more than 705,000 copies in the U.S. in its first two days, Nintendo of America announced this afternoon. Of that figure, over 135,000 copies were sold digitally through the Nintendo eShop.

Smash helped Nintendo 3DS sales climb to 140,000 units during the month of September, which is a 55% increase over August.
Meanwhile, on the Wii U front, Wii U hardware sales saw a a “nearly 50%” increase in September, due to the release of Hyrule Warriors, which sold over 190,000 copies in the U.S.
Finally, Mario Kart 8 sold close to 60,000 copies in September, its fifth month on the market, bringing total U.S. sales to nearly 1.2 million.
Correction: That’s 705,000 for Smash, not 750,000.
