Namco Bandai released their financial results today, and included are sales figures for some of the company’s notable games. Of particular interest are the sales of Tales of Xillia 2, which has sold 500,000 copies in Japan as of March 31st, 2013.
At 500,000 sold, Tales of Xillia 2 has fallen short of Namco Bandai’s expectations of the game. Back in November, Namco shared that they expected to move 650,000 copies of Xillia 2 by the end of March.
Meanwhile, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 has missed its goals as well. Namco hoped to sell 1.7 million copies of the game worldwide by March 31st, and have only managed to sell 1.5 million copies.
On a brighter note, Run for Money Tousouchuu, Namco’s quirky 3DS game based on a TV show in Japan, has exceeded expectations. Namco hoped to sell 300,000 copies of the game by the end of March, and instead ended up selling 520,000 copies. As of last week, actual sales of Run for Money in Japan were at 478,000.
