Square Enix are introducing a “Legacy Campaign” to Final Fantasy XIV. The campaign will recognize those players who subscribe to the game for 90 cumulative days or more between January 6th and the commencement of version 2.0 beta testing. The reward for doing this is actually pretty major, as your Final Fantasy XIV subscription will be permanently discounted, forever.
Here’s the comparison for regular subscribers and legacy members:
Membership Tiers | Price | Billing Cycle | Max Playable Characters per World | Max Playable Characters Total |
Legacy | $9.99 | 30 Days | 8 | 40 |
Entry | $12.99 | 30 Days | 1 | 8 |
Standard | $14.99 | 30 Days | 8 | 40 |
The other campaign Square are running is the “Welcome Back Campaign”. Upon the release of patch 1.22 for Final Fantasy XIV, Square will extend a free 10-day invitation to inactive account-holders. Patch 1.22 is currently planned for release on April 26th. You can read more about the patch and campaigns here.
