Super Monkey Ball Meets Gravure Idol In Made For Adults Level

smb5When Sega showed the Japanese box art for Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz I noticed it was rated CERO C. Being a family friendly series, Super Monkey Ball games are almost always rated CERO A for all ages. Here’s why Banana Splitz is for "adults."

Gravure model Yukie Kawamura has been promoting Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz in Japan and she even has her own level. Dubbed by Sega as an "adult map" Kawamura’s boobs pop up in places as an obstacle. First print copies of Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz include a code to download this map. Well, in Japan. Sega hasn’t announced a similar promotion for North America and since the game is rated "E" for everyone by ESRB don’t count on this map to come over.

You can try part of the "adult map" if your PlayStation Vita is linked to a Japanese PSN account. Sega uploaded a new Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz demo with a portion of the Yuki Kawamura stage.

Super Monkey Ball: Banana Splitz comes out on June 14 in Japan.
