Right now, Kaio: King of Pirates is a Japan only title, but it seems like Marvelous AQL is eyeing an international release. They already created a subtitled trailer that introduces a few (very few, there is supposed to be over 300) characters from the Nintendo 3DS game.

Developed by Keiji Inafune’s intercept studio, Kaio: King of Pirates is inspired by the Romance of the Three Kingdoms stories, but has a pirate setting and anthropomorphic characters like dragon Lü Bu. Kaio: King of Pirates is slated for release next year on Nintendo 3DS.
