Tekken is coming to both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. At E3, Nintendo showed a short interview with Tekken series director, Katsuhiro Harada, who went over some of the ideas his team has in mind for the Wii U version of the game.
In Tekken, you earn Fight Money after each fight, which allows you to unlock more content within the game. Harada feels an interesting way for players to earn Fight Money would be to create custom stages using the Wii U controller, and to sell their stages online, with buyers paying in Fight Money.
Another neat idea is the idea of editing stages in the middle of a fight. Harada also talks about player-tagging and customization, and the ability to play two different games simultaneously, using the TV and the Wii U controller; although it sounds like he’s referring to two different games entirely, not two separate Tekken matches.
Tekken on Wii U doesn’t have a release date yet, nor do we know just which Tekken game it will be.
