Speaking in a recent interview with Bloomberg, Keiji Inafune of ex-Capcom fame says that he plans to release a social game for the Japanese market as early as this month. In addition to this game, he also plans to release a role-playing game for the PlayStation 3 in August.

Note that there’s a slight possibility that Bloomberg are mistaking Compile Heart’s upcoming Hyperdimension Neptunia Mk-2 — which is slated for an August 18th release in Japan — as a game designed by Inafune. Inafune has been helping promote the game and is making a cameo appearance in it as well.

Inafune announced his resignation from Capcom in October of last year, stating that he felt he could not grow any further at the company, owing to the fact that it would not allow him on its board of directors, as he was a developer, and not someone with a business background.

“In this industry, it’s often the creators who have the eye for potential hits but they’re not the ones deciding what gets published,” Inafune told Bloomberg. “We’ll see many more clashes as creator- management divides widen.”

At present, Inafune runs two companies of his own — Comcept and Intercept.
