From Software has been developing mecha battling games since the PsOne was in its heyday. Now, the studio is working on Armored Core V and they shared a few pieces of concept art from the title.

While drawing a pair of robot legs, one artist highlighted the knee armor.

Each set of robot arms differs from the stock part and are effective at different points in the game.

What should we put in those hands? How about a railgun? The top sketch is a standard railgun while the bottom picture is a modified version. Notice the extra wires and canister on the bottom?

Armored Core V has plenty of other weapons including laser rifles and laser blades.

Once you have all of the parts in place (and a few dozen textures later), Armored Core V turns into this.

Armored Core V is coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 this year in Japan. Namco Bandai will publish Armored Core V overseas and have the game slated as an early 2012 title.
