Like a sticky ball for everything Katamari, we keep rolling up more trademarks filed by Namco Bandai. In Japan, the company registered Katamari Damacy Mobile Jumbo. Unless Namco Bandai is pulling a clever ruse, this is most likely for a mobile phone Katamari Damacy game.
Additionally, Namco Bandai registered a suite of trademarks with "roll" in them. Roll City, Roll Period (as in a period of time), Roll World and what’s probably related Around the World all in katakana and for use with video games are property of Namco Bandai. Sure, rolling isn’t exclusive to the Katamari series, but all of these filings suggest something is cooking for the series.
In Europe and the U.S., Namco Bandai also registered Katamari Amore Rolling Whopper. It’s unclear if this trademark is related or not.
More puzzling are three other Namco Bandai trademarks from Japan: "Blood Vengeance," "Dark Escape," and "American Life." For me, these sound more like subtitles than standalone games. Hmm… I wonder what existing franchise would work with "American Life."
