Majesco, best known as the U.S. publisher of Cooking Mama, are the latest company to announce new games for the Nintendo 3DS, and it looks like they’re trying to set themselves apart from the crowd with two rather unique-sounding titles.
The first is Face Kart: Photo Finish, a motion-controlled racer by Renegade Kid where you’ll tilt the 3DS to control your kart in races. The “hook” for the game that Majesco are pushing is that it lets you take a picture of your own face and map it onto your avatar, onto racetrack billboards, and even onto power-ups.
Additionally, avatars in Face Kart are entirely customizable, with a hundred choices of hair, clothing and eyewear. Majesco say the game will include 20 playable tracks.
Meanwhile, Pet Zombies in 3D sounds outright crazy. This is a zombie-raising game where you have to keep your zombie pets happy by managing their diet (brains are mentioned) and keeping them entertained. You’ll be able to play with your zombies in locations like cemeteries, malls, and rundown military bases. The game is being developed at 1st Playable Productions.
Pet Zombies in 3D is quite the customizable game, too. You can customize facial bone deformations, decay and clothing on your zombies. Environments in the game are customizable, too, to fit your each zombie’s personality. Like Face Kart, this game also has you using the 3DS motion-sensing features…for minigames like rolling zombie heads through mazes.
Both Face Kart: Photo Finish and Pet Zombies in 3D are slated for a release this Fall.
