Next Fire Emblem Makes Permadeath Optional

In this Nintendo DS remake, permadeath is optional. Choose classic mode if you don’t mind losing allies or want an extra challenge. Players can defeat permadeath by starting the game in casual mode.

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem – Hero of Light and Shadow also has character customization. See, that’s you (with the war paint) in the game! The player created character, called a My Unit, plays a key role in the story and even has his/her own side story.

Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem – Hero of Light and Shadow comes out in Japan on July 15.
