Atlus headquarters in Japan posted a classified ad for “mass recruitment” of part time debuggers. Employees would be paid a minimum of 800 yen($9) an hour for quality control tasks on games currently in development.
The job alone isn’t that interesting, but Atlus is hiring droves of debuggers for a reason. Probably because they have upcoming games to debug. Perhaps, this is an indicator that Atlus is ramping up production.
Actually, Atlus has been increasing production and developing more games in Japan year after year. Here’s a list of what they released in Japan (not counting “Greatest Hits” reprints) for the past three years.
