People who want something special to remember the Resident Evil 3 remake by will have a limited edition option. A GameStop Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition has been revealed. PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions will only be available through the retailer for $179.99. [Thanks, Wario64!]
The Resident Evil 3 Collector’s Edition’s star item is a Jill Valentine statue. It is eleven inches tall and shows her in the Resident Evil 3 remake outfit. (As a reminder, preorders for the game give people a costume pack that lets her swap to her classic blue tube top.) In addition to the figure, there is an artbook, a digital double album soundtrack, and a Raccoon City double-sided map. Everything comes packed in a S.T.A.R.S. item box like the ones you’ll see in the game.
This comes after quite a bit of teasing. During the December 2019 State of Play, Sony set the stage by talking about the Resident Evil: Resistance “campaign.” This turned out to be the trigger for the Resident Evil 3 remake reveal. Which makes sense, considering the early December 2019 leak had images for both Resident Evil 3 and Resident Evil: Resistance appear on PSN at the same time.
The Resident Evil 3 remake will launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3, 2020.
